The Chinese electronic giant company, OPPO, has launched its new smartphone in the Japanese market today. The new handset unveiled belongs to the mid-range smartphone category and is called OPPO Reno5 A. It will succeed the OPPO Reno3 A which was launched in 2020.
OPPO Reno5 A sports a 6.5-inch LTPS LCD panel and has a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone comes with a modest refresh rate of 90 Hz and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G mobile processor and will be coupled with 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and has NFC with support for NTT DoCoMo Osaifu-Keitai and Sony FeliCa. This storage can be expanded as there is a MicroSD card slot with the device. It runs on ColorOS 11 based on Android 11. The device is IP68-certified for dust and water resistance.
In terms of optics, the device will have a quad-camera setup at the back that will include a 64 MP primary shooter, an 8 MP 119° ultra-wide-angle unit, a 2 MP monochrome sensor and a 2 MP macro snapper. For selfies and video chats, it will bring you a 16 MP punch-hole camera.
Talking about the battery, it will be housing a 4,000 mAh battery cell and will be paired with an 18W fast charging support. Other features of the OPPO Reno5 A include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 2.0 Type-C port, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, gyroscope and accelerometer. The price and details regarding the sales of this OPPO device are still unknown.
