Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo, Watch 2 Pro and Pocket Bluetooth Speaker launched in Malaysia

Realme at an AIoT launch event today in Malaysia finally unveiled the Realme Watch 2 Pro, Realme Buds Wireless 2, Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo, and Realme Pocket Bluetooth Speaker.

The Realme Watch 2 Pro brings a full-screen display, and GPS connectivity to the basic Realme Watch series. Realme Watch 2 Pro, as the name suggests, is an upgraded version of the Realme Watch 2 that was launched in Malaysia last month.

Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo are neckband-style wireless earphones that offer active noise cancellation (ANC).

Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker is a compact water-resistant speaker that offers six hours of battery life.

Realme has launched its second portable speaker called Pocket Bluetooth Speaker. Like its name, the Bluetooth speaker is very compact and fits inside your pocket. Since the focus is on portability, there is a lanyard attached to the speaker to make it easy to carry around. The speaker weighs 113 grams, which means it is not heavy and the company says it is built using durable material, which sounds like a euphemism for plastic. It is equipped with a 3W Dynamic Bass Boost Driver that is combined with a passive radiator.

The speaker is IPX5 rated making it resistant against water sprays and splashes. The speaker also gets a stereo pairing feature so you can use two speakers to get a stereo effect. Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker is priced at MYR 79 (roughly Rs. 1,400) and comes in two colours – Classic Black and Desert Grey.

Realme Pocket speaker comes with Bluetooth v5 and support for AAC as well as SBC codecs. It has 3W audio output and is backed by a 600mAh battery. Realme claims it can last up to six hours depending on volume and audio content. Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker can be fully charged in under 2.5 hours. It has a frequency response range of 110Hz to 18,000Hz. It has a USB Type-C port for charging.

Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo features an 11.2mm Dynamic Bass Boost Driver for the enhanced sound experience. It supports Bluetooth v5.0 to connect to Android and iOS devices. There is a Super Low Latency Gaming Mode of 88 milliseconds for gaming sessions.

The Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo offers up to 17 hours of music playback. It supports fast charging and can deliver 12 hours of music playback on 10 mins charging. It features IPX4 water-resistant rating and has Realme Link app support too. The Buds Wireless 2 Neo retail in Black, Blue, and Green colors, and is priced at RM 99 (approx Rs. 1,750).

Realme has also equipped the neckband with an ENC algorithm which significantly reduces surrounding noise during a call. The Buds Wireless 2 Neo also has a Magnetic Instant Connection feature that lets you connect by simply separating the two earbuds. The product is lightweight at 23.1 grams. The Realme Link app will further offer more settings and customization such as sound profile switch between Bass Boost+, Dynamic, and Bright. You also get the option to enable game mode, volume enhancer boosts the volume, and lastly, the auto-answer feature lets you pick the calls automatically.

The Realme Watch 2 Pro sports a square dial, with a bigger 1.75-inch display than the Watch 2, having a 320×385 pixel resolution. It packs a 390mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to 14 days of run time on a single charge with continuous heart rate monitoring. You get to choose from 100+ watch faces on the Realme Watch 2 Pro as per your liking.

Realme’s latest smartwatch comes with a 1.75-inch colour touchscreen display with 320×285 pixel resolution. There is a brightness level of up to 600 nits and a 30Hz refresh rate on the watch. Realme Watch 2 Pro is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, which means you can wear it while swimming.

The Watch 2 Pro also packs an optical heart-rate sensor, and a blood oxygen monitoring sensor. These enable the smartwatch to track Heart rate (resting, exercise, and 24-hours automated), Blood Oxygen, sleep, steps, calories consumed, distance covered, and other activities. Apart from it, the smartwatch features high-precision dual-satellite GPS, and is capable of tracking 90 sports mode. These include outdoor run, outdoor walk, outdoor cycle, indoor run, strength training, football, basketball, cricket, badminton, jump rope, and more.

Realme Watch 2 Pro is priced at MYR 299 (roughly Rs. 5,300) and comes in Metallic Silver and Space Grey colour options with two strap colours — Black and Light Grey. It will go on sale in Malaysia starting May 29.

There is no information as to when these accessories will make their way to India. The four products have been launched in Malaysia for now. Realme did not say anything about when it would launch them in other markets. If the company has plans to introduce these four products or at least some of them, the India launch will take place only after the situation in the country has improved. Realme postponed the May 4 event recently because of the worsening crisis caused by Covid-19 in India.
