Last year due to Pandemic Google had to cancel the annual Google I/O Event 2020 at the very last moment. After understanding, the seriousness of the worldwide Pandemic Google had to cancel the Online Event Broadcast as it needs the involvements of some employees and keeping in mind the safety of everyone the company also called off their online event of Google I/O 2020. this resulted in no Google I/O event for the whole year.

This year as the Pandemic is a bit under control, Google has decided to conduct the Google I/O Event 2021 from March 18 to 20, as a live broadcast event like all other companies. The second wave of COVID-19 has also hit several parts of the world. Now it is a matter of a month, so we have to wait for the event to start if everything goes according to plan.
The event page of the Google I/O Event 2021 says

Connect with developers from around the world at this year’s virtual Google I/O for thoughtful discussions, hands-on learning with Google experts, and a first look at our latest developer products.”
This online event is free for all and everyone gets to register for free. Here people can interact virtually with developers and can also learn hands-on with Google experts. Other than interacting and learning the company will also launch brand new developer products at this event.
