Children have rapidly adapted the education-from-home scheme and offices have also shifted to work-from-standard, so the demand for laptops has been on a peak and noticeably for affordable Chromebooks.

They have become a staple thing for learning in many countries, and in some governments are giving Chromebooks for studying. In India, the popularity of these Chrome OS running devices are also growing and no doubt HP is a major OEM that is targeting this audience.

They have a number of Envy Chromebooks and 2-in-1s running ChromeOS for Indians, however, with the new Chromebook 11a, they are planning to change the landscape of the Indian Chromebook market. This new laptop just costs Rs. 21,999 and will be available on Flipkart in only Indigo Blue colour variant.

An octa-core MediaTek MT8183 processor powers the HP Chromebook 11a, and you an inbuilt mic to enable Google Assistant for voice commands. Also, you have an 11.6-inch HD (1,366×768 pixels) IPS touch display with 220 nits of peak brightness and a 45% colour gamut.

Being a budget laptop, you do have thick bezels with the essential webcam being placed at the top bezel’s centre. The laptop is stuffed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage; running Google’s ChromeOS means you have a simple OS with all the Google apps and the Google Play Store to give all the other necessary apps.

Also, you get free access to the Google One plan for a year which provides you with 100GB of cloud storage, or you can expand your storage up to 256GB.

HP has stuffed a healthy 37 WHr Li-ion polymer battery into the Chromebook 11a to provide you with a battery life of up to 16 hours, which for a budget Chromebook is quite good. You have a USB Type-A and USB Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, and HP True Vision HD webcam for ports.
