A long due and awaited update of the EMUI is finally and officially here, and Huawei has made sure that its brings some of the most awaited and anticipated feature to its mobile OS platform.
EMUI 11 brings along with it features such as multi-window multi-tasking, multi-device collaboration, multi-device browsing, new smart features, and much more. Supported by new features and changes in its UI/UX, the EMUI 11 is a sight to behold offering an improved user experience and bringing a lot of visual updates.
Here’s a look at some of the amazing features introduced in EMUI 11:
ARTISTIC ALWAYS ON DISPLAY (AOD):
EMUI 11, now brings along with it the new artistic Always-on Display (AOD). The new AOD lets users customize their screen with a personal flair by using modern art, and it adopts a new primary color pallet of red, yellow, and blue. Users are also given the option to create their color scheme and coordinate the AOD color palette with their photos.
IMPROVED MULTI-WINDOW MULTITASKING:
The Multi-Window mode was introduced in EMUI 10.1 and it allows to multitask with ease in Split-screen mode, and also to send messages using a floating window while watching videos or playing games. With EMUI 11, users get to use a new floating window option that opens a certain app with its window, and once minimized, it transforms into a floating bubble on the screen.
ANIMATION HUMAN FACTORS:
The animations in the new EMUI are much smoother and better when compared to its predecessors and they are based on the new “human factors-based” user experience (UX) design. The new long-take transition animation brings in fantastic animations and it effectively shortens user eye movement and lessens fatigue while improving recognition efficiency.
IMPROVED MULTI-SCREEN COLLABORATION:
Multi-Screen Collaboration in the EMUI 11 supports up to three active windows. Users can use the first window to watch the stream, the second window for a note-taking app, and discuss matters with classmates on the third, to say a few usage examples. The feature also enables better synchronization between PCs and tablets.
EMUI 11 brings a new UI update for its Notepad app, and now the app has become the “Super NotePad”, supporting editing notes simultaneously from multiple Huawei devices.
This feature is exclusive to Chinese consumers, the feature is called AI Subtitles. It allows users to browse articles or pictures in different languages and translate the words or paragraphs by selecting them. This is one of the new features introduced in the EMUI 11.
