Hasee to launch laptops by Intel’s Desktop Grade CPUs and Nvidia RTX 30 mobility GPUs

We have been seeing many laptop manufacturers adopting intel’s latest Tiger Lake platform and with the availability of Nvidia’s RTX 30 mobility GPUs in the market, the boom of high-end laptops is growing.

In recent news, the Chinese laptop maker, Hasee, announced the introduction of its new and upcoming laptops featuring Intel’s 11th Gen Rocket Lake CPUs and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Mobility GPUs.

According to sources, Hasee will be making use of desktop-grade chips for its laptops, instead of the 11th Gen Tiger Lake (45W H-Series) mobility lineup. It certainly is an interesting choice as there is a lot of hype about the Intel chip which will be made available by the end of March.

Regarding the specifications, the laptops are the TX8 and TX9 series. Both the machines will have Intel’s 11th Gen Rocket Lake Desktop CPUs and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Mobility GPUs. In the case of the Hasee TX8 series laptops, they will start around $1300 US & feature a choice of Intel Core i5-11400 6 core or Core i7-11700 8 core processors. The TX8 are the base variants from the manufacturer. Along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6 GB Mobility GPU the machines will also have a 16.1″ IPS panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. They will be supported by 16 GB DDR4-3200 memory, and 512 GB of PCIe storage.

Coming to the TX9, being a high-end model it will come with the same Intel Rocket Lake Desktop CPU choices but feature the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB graphics card. Reports indicate that the rest of the specifications remain the same but due to the GPU upgrade, the base model costs $1500 US while the top-variant costs $1650-$1700 US.

It’s not just Hasee, but we have seen many significant players like the CLEVO & XMG, who have been offering desktop CPUs in their laptops for a while now. The laptops likely house a mainstream chipset such as the B560 or H510 to power the platform.

As of now, there is no release date being given for these laptops, but Intel’s CPUs will be made available at the end of March. Thus, the laptops are expected to be made available by April or May.
