The much-talked Nubia Red Magic 6 series has been launched by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer today. The Red Magic 6 series consists of three models: Red Magic 6, Red Magic 6 Pro, and a Transparent Edition of the Pro variant. They have also announced the arrival of the Red Magic 6 Pro transparent edition. Without wasting any time, let’s what these devices have in store.

Red Magic 6
One of the biggest talking points of this series is its massive display. Red Magic 6 sports a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display which comes with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080-pixels. The second biggest talking point is that it offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
Nubia has restored its signature touch-sensitive shoulder which has a touch sampling rate of 500 Hz and 360 Hz for single fingers and multiple fingers respectively. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC and is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It runs on Red Magic OS 4.0 based on Android 11. To improve the experience of gaming on these devices, you can spot an ICE 6.0 VC liquid cooling technology. The device features an AI triple camera setup which is lead by a 64 MP sensor at the back. To support the primary lens, we can see an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP macro lens.
It houses a massive 5,050mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support. The price of the device varies for different variants:
- 8GB + 128GB – CNY 3,799 (~Rs. 42,700)
- 12GB + 128GB – CNY 4,099 (~Rs. 46,000)
- 12GB + 256GB – CNY 4,399 (~Rs. 49,500)

Red Magic 6 Pro
Red Magic 6 Pro has a similar display to the Magic 6 version and is also powered by the same mobile processor. It offers an even better cooling technique with ICE 6.0 7-layer multi-dimensional cooling system with a built-in centrifugal fan.
Nubia claims that it has the ability of up to 20,000 rpm. The one area its lacks from the above variant is its battery. It draws power from a smaller 4500mAh battery and is paired with a 120W fast charging support. The device comes with 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The price of the device varies for different variants:
- 12GB + 128GB – CNY 4,399 (~Rs. 49,500)
- 12GB + 256GB – CNY 4,799 (~Rs. 53,999)
- 16GB + 256GB – CNY 5,299 (~Rs. 59,600)
Red Magic 6 Pro Transparent Edition
Nubia has also launched a transparent edition of the Red Magic 6 Pro model. This handset allows you to see the precision components under the transparent body. You will also be able to see the cool RGB lighting effect of the built-in fan. Apart from that, it has the same specs as the Red Magic 6 pro version.
This will cost you around CNY 5,599 or approximately Rs. 62,999 for 16GB + 256GB model. The 18GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 6,599 or roughly Rs. 74,000.
