IPL 2021 Auction: Top 5 players who are likely to be in high demand

The IPL 2021 mini-auction is all set to take place on 18th February, which is only a few days away and the eight IPL franchises are all set with their listed players, as 292 players have been released, some of them are T20 specialists. Also, some star players have been released and seem that the auction is going to set fire.

Glenn Maxwell

The Australian right-handed batsman, Glenn Maxwell or Maxi, will be again on the auction list, who was a part of Kings XI Punjab last IPL edition. Maxwell, who is known for his power-hitting capability, will be the first choice for many teams. His excellent batting performance during the India vs Australia during December and January may expect a run in the league once again.

Dawid Malan

The left-handed batsman hailing from England has been excellent in the shorter format of the game and is currently placed at the top of the ICC Player Rankings for T20 Batsmen. He came to limelight initially as a low order batsman and gradually converted as a top-order batsman. So far, he has featured in 19 innings and has a total score of 855 runs with a healthy average of 53.44.

Mohammed Azharuddin

The young right-handed batsman hailing from Kerala has earned a place after a successful Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign, where he smashed a century from 37 balls and went on to score 137 runs in just 54 balls against Mumbai, where he hit 9 fours and 11 sixes, which placed him on the third to be the third-fastest T20 century by an Indian after Rishabh Pant with 32 balls and Rohit Sharma with 35 balls.

Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch, who captains Australia in the limited-overs and was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore, though he failed to deliver performance and is released by the Bengaluru giants for the IPL 2021. Finch, the pinch-hitter, can choke the opposition badly in the upper order. He will be on target by many teams at this auction.

Kedar Devdhar

The Wicketkeeper-batsman from Baroda, who is currently second-highest scorer in the domestic T20 league – Syed Mushtaq Trophy, where he scored 349 runs in eight games with an average of 69.80. Devdhar was a part of Deccan Chargers earlier but could not make it. However, his current form might bring him an IPL contract with a whopping amount.
