Notebook sales surge by 10% globally to a whopping 60 million units in Q4 2020

Recently Digitimes has reported that global notebook sales have increased to a new record in Q4 2020. This trend has been seen since the lockdown and the pandemic has increased the demand for global notebook sales.

As per the report, the gobal notebook shipments, excluding detachable models, has seen a surge over 10% sequentially. The total sales is estimated at a whopping 60 million units in fourth-quarter of 2020, this makes the notebook market a lucrative one for investors.

The total shipments for the entire 2020 advanced has increased by 25% on year to a 9-year high of 201 million units, as per Digitimes Research figures. Also the research expects the worldwide notebook shipments are expected to fall by less than 10% in first-quarter 2021.

A lot of countries are still plunged with the pandemic and employees are still opting for work from home culture. Whereas few major companies liek Microsoft, Twitter, Google are either opting for permanent work from home or a mixed experience. So, notebooks in 2021 will still be in demand as education too will remain online for quite sometime now.
