Poco M3 goes official in Indonesia at $129

Finally, Poco has launched the M3 smartphone in Indonesia with a price tag of Rp. 1,799,000. Previously, in November 2020, Poco M3 went official in the European market. Now the company launches the Poco M2 model in the Asian market.

The main attraction of this phone is its rear panel definitely grabs the attention of the buyers. We can witness a rectangular black patch on the upper side of the rear panel. On the left side of that patch, it holds the rear camera module, whereas, on the right side, Poco’s official branding is there in white color. This design is something really cool as well as different.

The Poco M3 sports a 6.53-inches FHD+ LCD display with (2340×1080)p of screen resolution. This phone display also features a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, 395 PPI, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Apart from these features, the display also has a 70% NTSC Colour Gamut. The display has Rheinland Certification of low blue light emission. Regarding the protection purpose, the display of Poco M3 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The phone has a triple rear camera in the backside, including a 48MP primary camera with an f/1.79 lens,  a 2MP f/2.4 dedicated macro, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The phone has a dot notch on the screen to hold an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. This phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and an IR blaster as well.

Under the hood, the Poco M3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662G chipset and runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10 OS. Regarding the storage configuration, the Poco M3 has LPPDR4x RAM up to 6GB and UFS 2.1 (64GB) /2.2 (128GB) storage. But the users can expand the internal storage up to 512GB through a MicroSD card.

Apart from these specifications, the Poco M3 has a decent battery backup of 6,000mAh, supported by 18W fast charging technology (22.5W charger in the box). Regarding the connectivity, the phone has a Dual-SIM slot, which will be supported by a 4G network, a 3.5mm earphone jack, dual speaker, WiFi 5GHz, and Bluetooth 5.0. This phone is available in three different color finishes: Power Black, Cool Blue, and Flashy POCO Yellow.

Price and availability of Poco M3 in Indonesia

The Poco M3 comes with two storage options: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+127GB; depending on this criteria, the company has decided the price tag of this phone. The 4GB+64GB variant has a price tag of Rp. 1,899,000 ($136), whereas the top variant costs at Rp. 2,299,000 ($164). But the company will provide a launching offer for the online purchase in Indonesia for both the variant; the 4GB variant will be available for Rp. 1,799,000 ($129), and the other variant will be priced at Rp. 2,199,000 ($157).

The first sale of Poco M3 will be on January 26 at 10:00 WIB(UTC+07:00). The interested people can purchase this phone online through mi.com(Indonesia), LazadaLazada, Akulaku, and this phone can be afforded offline through Mi authorized retail shops across the country.
