Motorola Edge S will officially feature Snapdragon 870

Yesterday Qualcomm had launched a new Snapdragon 870 5G chipset which is also a flagship range chipset and 5G enabled as well. The Snapdragon 870 5G chipset is the toned-down version of the current top of the line Snapdragon 888 5G SoC and seemingly the toned-up version of the Snapdragon 865 5G SoC. Now, with the launch of the chipset few companies have announced that they are launching new smartphones powered by this chipset. Likewise, Motorola has also announced officially that Motorola Edge S will be powered by the 3.2GHz Snapdragon 870 SoC. The phone will launch on 26th January.

The Motorola Edge S is expected to be a rebranded version of it. The Motorola Nio is expected to offer an FHD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) dual punch-hole cutout display supported by an unusual refresh rate of 105Hz.

This phone has also appeared on the Geekbench website and from that listing, we’ve come to know that it will be powered by a new Snapdragon chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. So, the rumored chipset is Snapdragon 870 5G. The expectation from this device is huge because it will be a new model from the company. Last time we have witnessed the Edge series which purely is a masterpiece.
