Intel’s upcoming 11th Rocket Lake CPUs will be launched soon, and the processors are already creating a buzz in the market for being the resurrection stone Intel was searching for. With many OEMs planning to extend their motherboard support for Intel’s upcoming lineup, PC manufacturer MSI becomes the latest OEM to announce its full support for Intel’s 11th Gen Rocket Lake.
Announcing itself, MSI stated that its Z490 motherboard lineup will be configured to support the Rocket Lake. Along with the BIOS, MSI has also shared its internal performance numbers, demonstrating resizable-BAR enabled on Intel’s Z490 platform & also shared an official release plan for the AGESA 22.214.171.124 BIOS firmware for AMD 500 & 400 series motherboards.
The new features announced by MSI specifically for Rocket Lake include:
- Update ME 14.1
- Support Re-size BAR function to enhance GPU performance.
- BIOS updated to be compatible with 11th Gen Intel Core Processors
As everyone might have guessed the motherboards are also configured to support full PCIe Gen 4.0 compatibility. Along with Rocket Lake, the Z490 motherboards support both AMD Radeon RX 6000 series and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series.
