The 7 questions you can expect Messi to answer on today’s La Sexta interview

Today will be a historical day as we will know whether the GOAT, often referred to as Lionel Messi, will be staying at Barcelona or not. After the controversial debate regarding his exit from the club and his abrupt burofax to the then-president Bartomeu did make the fans anxious and the world got crazy with that.

After that, he gave an interview with Goal telling about his decisions and his clash with Bartomeu. With a lot of sobs and tears, fans too became emotional, wanting the President to be removed, so did he, but in a respectable way but rather knowing that he has no option but defeat.

Eventually, Messi has stayed at the club but his contract is till next summer transfer window, so he has to renew his contract by 2021. Else he can make a move to any club that can afford him, literally for free next summer and this has made every Barca fan nervous.

However, La Sexta’s interview today with Messi will indeed give fans some insights to what we can expect to know from the great Argentine. So, they have officially released a blog stating what things you can expect from today’s interview with Leo:

Messi's father is already in talks with Manchester City

1. Will you stay at Barca or change the City of Barcelona to Paris or Manchester?

If Leo leaves Barcelona there will be very few clubs that can really afford his wages and among them will surely be Manchester City and PSG. Now, these both clubs have been in debate most of the times because of Messi’s admiration towards Pep Guardiola and financially they can afford him as well.

He wants to win everything for the rest of the years in his career and with Pep’s Manchester City that can really be a great opportunity. Now, PSG is also determined to win Champions League but they couldn’t pass the final hurdle last time and Neymar, knowing Barcelona cannot bring him back, wants Messi by his side if possible and so PSG could also be a desirable destination for Messi.

2. How did your relationship with Josep Maria Bartomeu end?

Bartomeu’s reign at the club ended bitterly, and Messi’s relation with him never went well, especially since the things he did at the club were not Messi’s liking ever. So, howsoever things he might have done to force Messi to stay did never made fans happy.

His abrupt resignation also remains a question, and the financial condition he has left the club in is also a point to be noticed. So, all in all, Messi is expected to say a lot of things about how it all ended with Josep Maria Bartomeu.

3. Do you support any presidential candidates?

Everyone knows Barcelona’s next presidential election is scheduled next month, and practically, the man who will lead the club can decide Messi’s future. Candidates like Laporta, Víctor Font, Jordi Farré have always said that their project will be based surrounding Messi.

However, we haven’t heard anything about presidential elections from Messi yet, so it will be interesting to what’s Messi’s point of view on this today.

4. How did Luis Suarez’s exit sit?

The exit of Luis Saurez was obviously very painful for Messi as he did not get the respect he deserved and was thrown out of the team to reduce the club’s wage bill, which was out of range because of the inaccurate leadership of Bartomeu.

6. Has the team improved after Koeman’s arrival?

In recent times, managers at Barcelona have been a disaster, Valverde’s ending, Setien’s abrupt introduction, and Koeman’s arrival – all these happened in a year now. So, how’s Messi handling all this, and what’s his point of view regarding this remains a thing to watch out for.

The saddest news in recent times will obviously be the great Diego Maradona’s death and this has created a hollow in the hearts of all Maradona fans along with the Argentines.
