Jurgen Klopp is the best Liverpool coach in the history of the club

Jurgen Klopp managed to officially become the most successful coach in Liverpool history, with his 127th victory for the club coming in style via a 7-0 victory over Crystal Palace, putting the reigning champions back at the top of the table following a lot of doubt regarding their ability to retain their title after the side was plagued with injuries.

The former Dortmund coach has been successful in terms of silverware as well, bringing the Premier League title to Anfield after 30 years. He led Liverpool to their sixth Champions League title in the 18/19 season. They also won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup to add to their tally of silverware.

Arguably one of the biggest changes made by Klopp has been the way Liverpool have recruited their players. The likes of Andy Robertson, Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, Alisson and Bobby Firmino have been the statement signings for Jurgen Klopp.

This summer, the German managed to bring Diogo Jota and Thiago Alcantara to the club for a bargain price, further proving the club’s sensibility when it comes to transfers.

When the entire squad is fit and ready to play, it is extremely difficult to pick out even a single weak link in the squad. Klopp’s brand of ‘heavy metal football’ has been perfectly adopted by his players. More importantly, the German has chosen the right players to implement his style effectively.

If there was any doubt before, it has been silenced effectively. Jurgen Klopp is without a doubt the best Liverpool coach in the history of the club, and he still has a few years left to give to the club. Liverpool will be hoping not only to retain their Premier League title this season but also progress deep into the Champions League, which they exited in the Round of 16 last season.
