Youssoufa Moukoko becomes the youngest ever Bundesliga goalscorer

Even before he made his debut for the first team, Youssoufa Moukoko was hyped up to be one for the future of football. The young German is slowly, but surely making his way to history. He became the youngest Champions League player in history recently when he replaced Erling Haaland from the bench.

He since went on to become the youngest Dortmund player to ever feature for the club, as well as the youngest player to ever start a match in the Bundesliga. Moukoko went on to make another piece of history his own yesterday as he scored his first goal for Dortmund in their 2-1 defeat to Union Berlin.

At 16 years and 28 days, Moukoko became the youngest goalscorer in Dortmund history. He beat the record previously held by Bayern Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, who was 17 years, 1 month and 3 days when he netted against rivals Bayern Munich in June of 2020.

Moukoko has been highly regarded as one for the future of football, and has some serious potential in him, especially considering his extremely young age. The 16-year-old is currently filling in for the injured Erling Haaland by taking on the responsibility to get the goals and make up for the out of form stars at the club.
