At FIFA’s The Best Awards held yesterday, Jurgen Klopp managed to win the award for The Best Manager, preventing Bayern Munich’s Hansi Flick from making it a very Bavarian The Best Awards, alongside Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowski, who won the best goalkeeper and best player awards respectively.
Since Nico Kovac was sacked all the way at the beginning of the season, Hansi Flick took charge of the club as caretaker manager, and little did we know of the season to come under the newly appointed Flick.
Bayern Munich managed to win the treble and also won the DFB, as well as UEFA Super Cups under Flick at the beginning of this season. Moreover, Flick’s Bayern spent 2020 unbeaten in ALL COMPETITIONS, which is something absolutely crazy if you think about it.
Flick took on a rather broken Bayern squad and turned them into the best team in the continent, and has also managed to continue that form into the 20/21 season.
On the 3rd November 2019, Hansi Flick was appointed as Bayern Munich manager.

Jurgen Klopp, on the other hand, managed to win the Premier League title with Liverpool for the first time in 30 years. The Merseyside club also managed to stay unbeaten for the most part of the season but endured a decline in form after winning the title, something Bayern never did.
Hence, winning five trophies in his first year in charge of one of the biggest clubs in Europe, Hansi Flick really deserved to win the award much more than Klopp.
Though the Liverpool manager had a great 2020, Flick’s performance in the same time has been nothing short of unbelievable, and he should have won the award instead of Klopp in recognition of his all-conquering debut season with the Bavarian giants.
