SC East Bengal set to sign another foreigner in the form of Joe Garner?

East Bengal is ready to conquer the ISL from its first season. All the teams in ISL are much stronger than the ones in I-League. To compete with them, East Bengal surely needed an up gradation in their team.

East Bengal has already signed some talented foreigners. Danny Fox, Scot Neville, Anthony Pilkington, Aaron-Amadi Halloway, Matti Steinmann, Jacques Maghoma are all ready to make their first appearance in ISL on the 27th of November against ATK Mohun Bagan FC.

Now they are going to sign another striker from Wigan Athletic. Wigan Athletic striker Joe Garner is set to join SC East Bengal.

Joe Garner has played in many different clubs in England. In 2018 he joined Wigan Athletic in a 2-year deal. In his 73 appearances for the club, he has scored 17 goals. He is one of the regular starters of Wigan Athletic this season. He has already scored 7 goals this season for Wigan.

According to some reports, Joe Garner has already requested his club to terminate his contract so that he can join SC East Bengal. But if SC East Bengal finally agreed to a deal with him then he can only join in January.

His former teammate Anthony Pilkington and Danny Fox are among the new addition of SC East Bengal this season. If he finally joins SC East Bengal then he will surely add extra firepower upfront. He can also add some experience in the squad.
