Samsung launched W21 5G, a premium version of the Galaxy Z Fold2 for China

Samsung has finally unveiled a premium version of the previously launched Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, named the Samsung W21 5G. Samsung has launched this smartphone exclusively in China. The interesting thing is, this new smartphone is the second version of a Galaxy smartphone, but it does not have “Galaxy” in its name, “Samsung W21 5G”. Let’s get into the specifications of this phone.

The Samsung W21 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset. Regarding the display, this phone features a huge 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display nestles inside, a 6.23” Super AMOLED with Gorilla Glass Victus remains on the outside. Samsung W21 is slightly taller than its previous version Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The SD 865+ chipset of this phone is paired with 12GB RAM and a massive 512GB internal storage. In terms of battery, this phone is fueled up by a 4,500mAH battery with the support of 25W wired and 11W wireless charging. The rear camera setup is quite identical to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which is a triple rear camera setup having a 12MP primary sensor.

The only major difference we can find between the two smartphones is that in W21 5G, it has two SIM card slots. In terms of the rear panel, it is slightly different as well having a gold color with vertical stripes.

Regarding the price and availability, the W21 5G has a price tag of CNY 20,000 it is already up for pre-order right now. Pre-orders start at 20:20 local time at the official Samsung online store. As per the pricing, it is slightly higher than the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which is priced at CNY 17,000 in China.
