OFFICIAL: La Liga announce El Classico date and time, who’s gonna win this time?

Arguably the greatest rivalry in all of football, Barcelona vs Real Madrid will grace our screens twice this season, as per the La Liga fixtures. According to the League, the date for El Clasico has been announced and it is only 11 days away!

Barcelona will host Real Madrid at Camp Nou on the 24th of October at 4:00 PM CET.

The last time the two Spanish giants collided, the Blaugrana suffered a defeat, shipping 2 goals and scoring none against Los Blancos.

This season’s El Classico takes place a little earlier than other seasons. Although the Messi vs Ronaldo magic doesn’t amplify the glorious game anymore, the 20/21 edition of El Classico promises to be an absolute cracker.

Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona have started the season strongly, proving doubters wrong with their performances against Villareal, Celta Vigo and Sevilla.

The change in tactics by the former Dutch international manager has worked out pretty well so far.

On the other side of things, Zinedine Zidane has played it extremely smart and made Real Madrid an absolute defensive fortress. They conceded the least amount of goals in the league last season and are looking very impressive at the back this season as well.

Although it is doubtful whether we will see Eden Hazard start against Barcelona, Marc Andre Ter-Stegen is sure to sit this one out as he is still recovering from a surgery that took place in August.

This will be the 182nd La Liga El Classico. Real Madrid lead Barcelona head to head with 73 wins, while Barca are only behind by one at 72.

The upcoming firecracker of a fixture is more important for Barca than for reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid. After last season’s disappointing ending, the fans need something to be optimistic about and a victory over their bitter rivals will surely be a step in the right direction.
