Adama Traore reveals the secret of his physique’s success after making international debut versus Portugal

One of the more curious players to be currently playing the wonderful sport of football is Wolves winger Adama Traore. Often accused of being a forward with no consistent output deliverance, he has improved in recent times. And that is also a significant mention to his physique which make him seem like a bodybuilder more than a footballer.

Regardless, Traore is now in a crucial phase of his life. Playing for both Wolves and more recently Spain, he has to manage the workload overall as an athlete. And now, he has revealed how the transformation has happened, especially since he was a lanky kid during his youth career days at FC Barcelona.

In an interview with popular journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, he was quoted as saying, “What matters is knowing your body and adapting your training to your conditions, I changed my physique out of necessity, ” he reveals.

“At 15 I was full of knee problems, tendonitis that didn’t leave me alone. I was struggling to play and exploit my speed. So I started working out in the gym, gaining mass through specific work to avoid new injuries.”

Many have wondered about whether the construction of Traore’s biceps and triceps are an outcome of working with the likes of weights and bench press. But, Traore says that it is not the case and that it is his ‘genetics’, which is the core reason of his rapid muscle growth and resulting strength.

Adama Traore came through the ranks of the famed La Masia academy in Barcelona. But, with a lack of appearances, he decided to try out his luck in England at Aston Villa. Following a few seasons with them and Middlesbrough, he landed at Wolves.

Last season was particularly successful for Traore, where he had a statistics tally of 6 goals and 9 assists having worked on his attacking side of the game. He was recently called up to both the Spain and Mali national teams. However, electing to go with the former, he made his debut appearance for ‘La Roja’ in yesterday’s friendly match against Portugal.
