HMD Global’s roadmap for Android 11 update for Nokia smartphones leaks out

If you don’t know then HMD Global is now the face behind the Nokia for quite a long time and it been doing great lately with smartphones and OS updates also and Nokia is way better than any other Android OEM these days in providing Android updates to its smartphone users.

Nokia smartphones have been known for there excellent build quality but nowadays they are even popular for timely Android updates. Even some of the low-cost smartphones from Nokia recieves the latest Android version while other brands couldn’t keep up with the updates that well and that is because of the AndroidOne program which HMD Global has partnered up with Google which means Google is also working hand to hand with HMD Global on Nokia smartphones software.

As you all know Google recently announced the latest iteration of Android dubbed Android 11 and few manufacturers like OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Realme have been very quick to announce the update for their flagships and Nokia was even planning something like that and even announced the roadmap on the microblogging platform Twitter but after a short time they deleted it which could mean that there might be some changes later on but here’s a quick look on when you can expect Android 11 for your Nokia handset.

According to the image shared by Nokia from its twitter handle @NokiaMobile, the first Android 11 OTA update will be pushed out to Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 2.2, 5.3, and Nokia 8.1 between the last quarter of 2020 and first quarter of 2021 where you can expect Nokia 8.3 5G to be the first one to get the update while other three will be receiving the update after that.

Then the budget Nokia smartphones which includes the Nokia 1.3, 2.3, 2.4, 3.4, and Nokia 4.3 will be receiving the OTA updates sometime in Q1 of 2021 while Nokia 3.2, 6.2, and 7.2 will be updated in somewhere in the middle of Q1 and Q2 of 2021 whereas Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia Pureview will be the last in the roaster to receive the Android 11 update in Q2 of 2020.

Nokia also said that the company has pushed around 1000 updates in the timespan of 3 years keeping their 3 years promise of providing updates.

Well, this post was quickly deleted after it was posted so there could be some changes whenever Nokia announces the final roadmap for the Android 11 OTA update.

We are expecting that upcoming Nokia 7.3, Nokia 6.3, and Nokia 9.3 Pureview to come with Android 11 out of the box since they are launching sometime in November this year.
