Finally, after a long wait, the Taiwanese laptop giant has launched its premium range of gaming laptops in India including the Predator Helios 300 and the Triton 300 gaming laptops. These laptops have been updated on the hardware side mostly and some minor improvements overall.
Both of these laptops are powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake-H processors (up to Core i7) paired with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 2,933MHz along with two PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration and additional up to 2TB hard disk drive for mass storage.
For graphics, you have up to a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with the Max-Q design for better performance in a thinner form factor. Both of the laptops come with customizable RGB keyboards.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 features a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with up to 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms overdrive. The laptop is backed by a modest 59Whr battery.
For connectivity, the Helios 300 offers you a Killer’s E26001 Ethernet Controller, Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i, Bluetooth 5.0. On the other hand, for ports, you get two USB 3.2 Gen 1, a USB Type-C port, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port with power-off charging support.
The Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop supports DTS:X Ultra Audio, while for thermals you get two fans, one of which is a custom-designed 4th generation AeroBlade 3D fan which shall reduce noise while increasing airflow. You can adjust the fans manually via Acer CoolBoost software.
The Predator Triton 300, on the other hand, also features a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS display with up to 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. The display is color accurate as well as it covers 100% of the sRGB color space.
While the Triton 300 supports up to 32GB of RAM using two SODIMM modules, you can expand the SSD storage up to 3TB via three M.2 SSD slots. For ports, you have HDMI 2.0, mini-DP 1.4, and USB 3.2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB Type-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2), and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port with power-off charging.
The Acer Predator Triton 300 also comes with two fans for thermals, one of them being 4th generation AeroBlade 3D metal fan for improved airflow. Also, there’s the Acer CoolBoost software for tuning and is very lightweight, weighing just 1.7kg.
Both of the laptops are now available in India via Acer Exclusive Stores, Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales, and Acer E-store. While the Acer Predator Helios 300 starts at Rs. 84,999, the Predator Triton 300 with Core i5-10300H + GTX 1650 Ti + 8GB RAM + 512GB SSD storage starts at a modest Rs. 89,999.
