Wiko unveils View5 and View5 Plus with “one week, only two charges” tagline

Wiko is all set to launch two new phones to its View series. But this is no the ultimate news, the main thing is the tagline for both phones, that is “one week, only two charges”. The company claims that the 5,000 mAh batteries in both phones last over 3 days on a single charge, quite a bold claim honestly.

Both View5 and View5 Plus are almost the same as each other, the main differences between them are the chipset and the memory configuration. Let’s check out the specifications of those models.

The Wiko View5 runs on Android 10 OS and is powered by the MediaTek Helio A25 chipset, a 12nm chip with eight Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.8 GHz plus a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This phone has 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded by an external microSD card.

The Wiko View5 Plus is powered by an older Helio P35, a 16nm chip. This processor pushes the eight A53 cores up to 2.3 GHz. This phone has 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. This phone also runs on Android 10 OS.

The Wiko View5 comes in three different color variants: Midnight Blue, Pine Green, and Peach Gold. On the other hand, the Wiko View5 Plus will come in two different color variants: Aurora Blue and Iceland Silver.

Apart from these specifications, everything is the same on those phones. Let’s checkout for the common specs. Regarding the display, both the phone has a 6.55” IPS LCD has 720 x 1,600 px resolution (20:9) on the front has an 8 MP selfie camera tucked into the upper left corner. Both the phones have a quad rear camera setup on the back. The camera module features a 48MP main camera (1080p video recording supported), a 120° ultrawide cam with an 8MP sensor, then a 5MP macro cam, and a 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots. There is also a rear fingerprint sensor for both the phones and an extra button on the side allows you to summon the Google Assistant.

Both the phones support VoLTE connections with dual SIM support and a dedicated microSD slot. Both phones have a decent battery of 5,000mAH. The company claims that you need to charge this phone only twice a week. These phones have the capability to store your charge for a larger amount of time. Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and Bluetooth 4.2 are also supported by these phones.

According to reports, the Wiko View5 will cost around €170 while Wiko View5 Plus will go up to €200. Sales of both smartphones should start from September 10, 2020.
