Tencent may engage with Indian Authorities to secure the continued availability of PUBG Mobile

On this Thursday, the IT Ministry of India banned a total of 118 applications that were directly or indirectly engaged with Chinese companies. The list includes the most famous battle royale game PUBG Mobile along with its Lite version. Though the original game was developed by a South Korean Company Bluehole, the mobile version is taken care of by the Chinese technology giant Tencent.

In response to the ban, Tencent said that it always takes care of users’ privacy and data security. It also added that the company may engage with the Indian authorities to secure the continued availability of its apps in our country.

The ban affects Tencent’s share a lot. In less than a day, its market share falls by over 2%.

Let you know, the fresh ban is a continuation of a set of 59 apps and 47 apps ban respectively. The whole thing stats in June of this year when the Indo-China border tension goes higher than ever before. At the end of June, the banning process started. The first list with a total of 59 applications includes the famous short video making app TikTok. Later in July, another set of 47 apps threw out of India, and this batch is the third one. Though there are some more apps faced the same in between.
