Lenovo Legion 7i gaming laptop with 10th Gen Intel CPUs & NVIDIA GPUs launched in India

Lenovo has revolutionized the gaming laptop range with its Legion series and it has launched a lot of gaming laptops today in India. Among all of them, the Lenovo Legion 7i is the flagship one with beastly specs, and coming in with max horsepower one can stuff into a gaming laptop in a thinner chassis and weighs just 2.1 Kg to make it an ideal gaming laptop to play on-the-go.

This Lenovo gaming laptop is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake-H processors and the NVIDIA GeForce graphics. The laptop offers a 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with up to 240Hz refresh rate and <1ms response time, great for gaming.

Not only that, as stressed by Lenovo, the Legion 7i great for content creation as well, but the display also covers 100% sRGB color gamut, goes bright up to 500 nits, is VESA DisplayHDR 400-certified and has Dolby Vision-enabled. So, this is an ideal work laptop as well, which is both powerful and efficient for gaming with NVIDIA G-Sync technology available on certain as well.

For performance, you can opt up to 10th Gen Intel Core i9 CPU with up to 5.3GHz clock speeds, 8 cores, 16 MB of Intel Smart Cache, Intel Thermal Velocity Boost, Intel Dynamic Tuning, and Intel Wi-Fi 6. A lot of benefits being an Intel-powered laptop. For graphics, you can go for as powerful as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER with Max Q Design. This is paired with up to 32 GB DDR4 2933MHz RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe SSD (dual configs available as well).

Lenovo has given special care to the cooling of the laptop as the Legion 7i features up to an integrated 2mm Vapor Chamber and an updated 6-point thermal sensor array. Then there’s a dual-fan system of 73 liquid-crystal polymer fan blades that enhances four dedicated thermal channels to cycle air at top speeds for better cooling during heavy loads. You can tweak the cooling manually with Lenovo Q Control 3.0 with manual control of system fan speeds and voltage.

The OEM has a good reputation when it comes to keyboard and has taken this even further as the Legion 7i features the Legion TrueStrike keyboard with 1.3mm key travel and has dedicated media keys, number pad, larger arrow keys, and one-piece trackpad. You can configure the lights of the keys individually brought with over 16 million different colors via Corsair iCUE support.

The Legion 7i features all-day battery life via a whopping 80Whr battery crammed into the slim gaming laptop and can be charged via a sleek and slim power adapter that charges the laptop from 0-50% in under 30 minutes with Rapid Charge Pro. Lenovo also states that with Hybrid Mode and Advanced Optimus Technology, you can switch between the laptop’s discrete graphics or use the iGPU to save power for better battery life.

The laptop has an all-metal design with a laser-engraved logo illuminated RGB Legion iconic “Y” all in elegant Slate Gray color variant. There are a lot of RGB lights across the laptop – the Corsair iCUE environmental lighting array that can be customized as per your requirements. On the audio front, you get 2 x 2W Dolby Atmos Speaker System for Gaming with Chamber and a 720P HD webcam as well.

As Lenovo says, you can enjoy the battle-ready performance, immersive experiences, and seamless gameplay with Lenovo Vantage for Gaming software. You can choose performance mode for apps and games to calibrate automatically. Overclock CPUs and GPUs and use memory release to push frame rates to the limit. Downshift to Quiet Mode to save battery life or choose Balance Mode for normal use. 

On the right-hand side of the laptop, you get a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, and on the left side, you have Thunderbolt 3 Type-C(Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, USB 3.1, HDMI), USB-C (DisplayPort 1.4, USB 3.1 Gen 1) and a Headphone/mic combo. On the rear end of the laptop, you get 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2, 1 x HDMI 2.0, 1 x RJ45 Ethernet, 1 x Kensington lock slot, and a Power-in port.

Lenovo has priced the Legion 7i laptop at a whopping Rs. 1,99,990 and is already available on Lenovo’s website and across all major stores as well.
