Misery for England and Spain while two teams each from Germany and France will compete in the Champions League semi-finals

The Champions League semi-finals lineup has been completed. Two teams from Bundesliga, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig will face two teams from Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais.

This is the first time since 2012-13 that the Champions League semi-finals will be represented by two nations, Germany and France.

As teams from Germany and France enjoy success in this season’s Champions League, it has been a sad time for clubs from Spain and England. It is the first time since 1995-96 that no English or Spanish sides will compete in the Champions League semi-finals.

Also, for the first time since 2004-05, neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi will make an appearance in the Champions League semi-finals.

Bayern Munich are the firm favourites for this season’s Champions League but PSG superstars Neymar and Mbappe can surely pull off surprises.
