Barcelona signs the Brazilian youth Gustavo Maia from Sao Paolo

It seems FC Barcelona is focusing on improving its youth team with the signing of the 19-year-old forward Gustavo Maia which seems to be done deal according to ESPN Brasil from Sao Paolo.

The Blaugranas already paid around €1 million and has spent another €3.5m to bring the left winger to the Camp Nou. Now, it seems Maia has also confirmed the deal is almost done with a post on Instagram.

The young Gustavo Maia will be joining Barcelona B once he arrives from Brazil and will be in the García Pimienta’s side for the next season. Barcelona will be keeping 70% of Maia’s rights, while the São Paulo team will hold 30% for any future sale.

It will be great to see the talented Brazilian progress in Barcelona and can learn a lot under García Pimienta but given the current board, these youngsters should be given proper opportunities to strive at the Camp Nou.
