New Dell XPS 15 9500 with up to 10th gen Core i9-10885H and GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q launched

We’ve all been waiting for the new Dell XPS 15 and its finally here, with upgraded specs and hardware along with a new design. Much of the most asked things are included like a 16:10 display, top-firing speakers, no USB Type-A ports, and a proper webcam placement. 

Like the XPS 17, the Dell XPS 15 9500 has a premium design, its chassis is made out of CNC-machined aluminum with double-anodized diamond cut side edges. The palm rest area is made out of carbon fiber and the XPS is made out of stainless steel, placed on the engraved outline.

The new XPS 15 features a 15.6-inch 4-sided InfinityEdge FHD display, making it look even more stunning. The display has 16:10 aspect ratio with up to UHD+ (3840 x 2400) resolution options along with 100% Adobe RGB & 94% DCI-P3 color gamut support. 

Both of the FHD and UHD display panels are Dolby Vision-certified and features Dell’s Eyesafe display technology that helps to reduce harmful blue light while maintaining vivid colour for comfort with long use sessions.

Also, the poor webcam placement has been resolved, with an HD webcam discretely placed on the top bezel with IR camera that supports faster Windows Hello login. The Dell XPS 15 9500 features a top-firing speaker setup with speaker grills made out of 4,532 laser-drilled holes.

Coming to the hardware, the XPS 15 9500 features a wide range of 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake-H CPUs including the Core i5-10300H, Core i7-10750H, Core i7-10875H, and the Core i9-10885H. So, you get options from quad-core to all the way up to 8 cores on a laptop which is so sleek and lightweight.

This comes coupled with RAM options ranging from 8 GB to 64 GB of dual-channel 2,933 MHz 2x SO-DIMMs. For storage, you get options ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB NVMe SSD. On the graphics front, you can either opt for the integrated Intel UHD graphics or the discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q with 4 GB GDDR6 memory.

You can choose between a reduced 86 Wh battery and 56 Wh battery, overall you can expect around 16 hours of Netflix streaming with 86 Wh variant while 8 hours with the 56 Wh one. Dell’s Mobile Connect app helps to establish a seamless integration between the XPS laptop and an Android or iOS smartphone.

This new essential MacBook competitor is already available in the market of US and Canada at a staring price of $1,299.99, whereas, in Europe and Asia the laptop will be available soon.
