Barcelona turned down €65m bid for Sergi Roberto

When the world is still busy implementing Wi-Fi 6 globally, only handful of devices do support this feature. Few expensive routers and costlier devices do come included with this feature. In the meantime, WiFi 7 is already on the road.

If the 9.6Gbps maximum speed for WiFi 6 was amazing enough for you then you’ve got no idea how much speed this new generation of Wi-Fi can deliver. It has been reported that the theoretical maximum transmission rate of WiFi 7 can reach 30Gbps!

When compared with WiFi 5 (802.11 ac) wireless transmission protocol, the WiFi 6 (802.11 ax) is about 40% faster and also consumes less power. The WiFi 6 protocol can connect to more devices at the same time using the the latest WP3 security protocol which is very difficult for hackers to crack.

Thus, WiFi 6 is already very strong so what’s the point of Wi-Fi 7? The next-generation of WiFi is still in its development phase which will take some time to actually get started so it’s good for our future ultimately.

The MU-MIMO technology introduced by WiFi 6 supports up to 8 data streams to work at the same time. The Wi-Fi 7 will implement CMU-MIMO technology supports up to 16 data streams, 8 lanes to 16 lanes, a proper interstellar highway.

Apart from the traditional 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, the WiFi 7 will also support the 6GHz frequency band and the three frequency bands can work simultaneously.

Currently, the WiFi 6 (802.11 ax) uses the 1024-QAM signal modulation method, the WiFi 7 will still be using the 802.11 be standard but upgraded to a 4096-QAM signal modulation method. This easily expands the data transmission capacity to reach a whopping speed of 30Gbps.
