AMD dominates over Intel in Mindfactory CPU sales

AMD has just painted the CPU market with red and Ryzen CPUs are reigning all over the markets in the world. The weekly sales information from the huge German hardware/software retailer Mindfactory proves the incredible sales of AMD CPUs compared to Intel, even though they are struggling on the GPU front.

Out of the best selling 15 CPUs, all the 13 of them were AMD Ryzen CPUs varying from 1st gen to the 3rd gen. Intel’s Coffee Lake 8-core Intel Core i7-9700K and Core i9-9900K did find a spot in the top 15 which really says everything and how customers are relying on AMD over the Blue team.

The best CPU out of the lot was obviously the 3rd Gen based Ryzen 5 3600 which single-handedly took 1280 sales in just a week. Surprisingly, users are buying more of the high performing desktop Ryzen CPUs i.e. the 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 3700X has become an attractive option for users for its cores and high clock speeds.

Then we see a bunch of 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen CPUs both from entry-level to high-end, no signs of Intel at all. Another surprise entry is the 1st Gen Ryzen 5 1600 whose decreased price can be an attractive option for budget buyers who need more cores.

The Ryzen 9 3900X also got a higher spot with 220 sales makes it a lucrative deal for high-end users who need more cores and performance as compared to the similarly priced Core i9-9900K. The Ryzen APUs too got a good amount of sales, the Ryzen 3 3200G managing a 280 of it while the Ryzen 5 3400G with 110 and Ryzen 3 220G with 100.

The Blue team’s Core i7-9700K managed to get 100s of sales and the high-priced Core i9-9900K only got 80 sales. From the list, we see people are buying a variety of AMD CPUs from every range for their needs, the overall sales unit figure for the week was 4,185 for AMD and 675 for Intel.

Even though Intel is preparing its Comet Lake desktop CPUs but the momentum has already shifted to team Red and by the time Intel somehow manages to convince people to buy their 10th Gen desktop CPUs, the Ryzen 4000 CPUs will be ready to show its supremacy.
