Yesterday we saw a tight match at the Camp Nou where Barcelona managed to get all the three points against Getafe, who sit third in the league table. Getafe is known for its high press football against a side who is much more comfortable in keeping the possession.
Quite knowingly, the Getafe side played aggressively trying to snatch the ball from the Blaugranas but made 29 fouls which Setien feels should have produced more yellow and even red cards.
Jose Bordalas’ side pressed Barca all throughout the 90 minutes but Setien’s team kept their composure and keeping 77% ball possession. But Setien feels that the referee should have been stricter for the visitors. After the match the 61-year said:
The two goals in the first half helped Barcelona win the match although they missed a lot of clear chances, both the goals from Griezmann & Roberto were clinical. Grieamann missed some serious chances which could end him up scoring a brace or even a hattrick.
On the other hand, Lionel Messi still remains goalless since four matches in a row now but he is continuing his good work by providing assists and even leading the assist chart in LaLiga.
Getafe never really gave up, the excellent cross and a mind-blowing finish from Angel Rodriguez left everyone stunned and at the dying minutes, Ter Stegan kept Barca leading with his amazing goalkeeping. Rodriguez is in Barca’s radar after Dembele suffered a season-long injury and Saurez being out for four months now.
