Intel Unveils Full 14th Gen Processor Lineup at CES: A New Era for Mobile and Desktop Computing

During the much-anticipated Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Intel stole the spotlight with the announcement of its comprehensive Intel Core 14th Gen mobile and desktop processor lineup. This includes the high-performance new HX-series mobile processors, as well as mainstream 65-watt and 35-watt desktop processors.

Roger Chandler, Intel’s Vice President and General Manager of Enthusiast PC and Workstations​, Client Computing Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new offerings. “Our 14th Gen Intel Core processor family is engineered to deliver unmatched performance and advanced platform features to both enthusiast and mainstream PC users,” he stated. “With our HX-series processors, mobile enthusiasts can now enjoy an unrivalled mobile experience. Simultaneously, our latest-gen 65-watt and 35-watt desktop processors offer efficient performance and robust platform features to mainstream desktop users.”

Intel Core 14th Gen Desktop Processors: Power Packed Performance from Desktop to the Edge

The expansion of the Intel Core 14th Gen desktop stack brings new opportunities for mainstream PC users and businesses across various vertical markets. With 18 new processors that span the range, users can game, create, and work at their desired levels daily, all while enjoying the platform features that Intel is renowned for.

Here’s a look at what the latest Intel desktop processors bring to the table:

  • Turbo frequency up to 5.8 GHz, resulting in up to 37% faster multi-thread performance and up to 7% enhanced Microsoft Office performance gen-over-gen.
  • Up to 24 cores (eight P-cores, 16 E-cores) and 32 threads in the i9-14900 processors.
  • The i7-14700 boasts an extra four E-cores, bringing the total to 20 cores (eight P-cores, 12 E-cores) and 28 threads.
  • Support for up to 192 GB of total DDR5-5600/DDR4-3200 MT/S memory, ensuring backward compatibility with existing Intel 600- and 700-series-based motherboards.
  • Continued support for in-box thermal solutions, including the Intel Laminar RH1 and RM1 coolers.
  • Next-gen wireless connectivity offering both Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 (5 Gig) and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+).
  • Continued support for PCIe Gen 5.0, Gen 4.0, and Thunderbolt 4, providing 40 Gbps bandwidth, along with integrated USB 3.2 connectivity support delivering up to 20 Gbps transfer bandwidth.

The full Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processor lineup is now available online and in stores, allowing PC users at every price point to find the perfect processor for their daily gaming, creating, and productivity needs.

These processors also empower AI and compute-intensive workloads at the edge with more cores in LGA-socketed packaging.
